In the senior care industry, isolated seniors are a huge, under realized problem. Many don’t intend on living this way but day by day, the isolation sets in and becomes harder and harder to get out of.
This touching video shows us how Mary goes about her day. Mary lives on her own and comes home everyday to an empty house. She is just trying to keep busy enough so that she doesn’t go crazy!
I work with many seniors in this same situation, who are lonely and are in need of socialization with others. Many look into retirement communities so they can expand their circles but MANY can’t afford a retirement community and are left to live as Mary lives.
