REACH OUT TO USUnderstanding and searching for long-term care can be difficult and emotional. Also known as “nursing homes,” LTC homes are subsidized residential homes that typically provide higher levels of personal care and support than what may be provided in a retirement home. These types of homes are for people who need 24-hour nursing care and supervision within a secure setting. In Ontario, all admissions to long-term care homes are coordinated through Home and Community Care Support Services.
