Brenda Verch
Senior Living Advisor
Brenda has been interested in working with seniors since she was at university in the early 1990’s. While there, she worked part-time as a home support worker, helping seniors with their daily living. The best part of her job, she says, was hearing about their rich lives and interesting experiences.
After graduating with a degree in psychology, Brenda supervised home support workers with a company called Visiting Homemakers, where she had the pleasure of doing home visits and getting to meet many interesting seniors.
Brenda has seen first-hand the struggles that families experience when trying to find appropriate housing for their aging parents and grandparents. After meeting Tea & Toast CEO Amy Friesen, Brenda was so impressed with the service that she knew she wanted to be a part of it.
Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Spirituality, and currently has a small part-time counselling practice where she sees adults of all ages.
In her spare time, Brenda enjoys photography, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is an avid traveller and has a long list of places she wants to visit!
